ER and Dynasty lead the slate of throw-back programming in February
By James W, Sunday 11th February 2018

CBS Drama is excited to announce that the channel will introduce much-loved iconic series ER and Dynasty to its schedule this February.

From Monday 12th February at 8pm, viewers will be able to relive multi award-winning series ER from the very beginning. See how regular cast members including George Clooney, Julianna Margulies and Noah Wyle first won over audiences in the 1990s as the emergency room physicians and staff at Chicago’s County General Hospital, when the beloved hospital drama receives its network premiere on CBS Drama.

In season 1, a Chicago building collapses, and everyone in the ER must overcome their personal dramas to save lives in a crisis, Dr. Ross works up the nerve to visit Carol eight weeks after her attempted suicide, and Dr. Lewis is confronted by a private physician concerning her risky treatment of a heart patient.

Later that evening at 10pm, iconic ‘80s saga Dynasty returns to CBS Drama in all its extravagant glory. Sporting big hair and even bigger shoulder pads, Joan Collins and Linda Evans shocked and enthralled audiences as cat-fighting socialites Krystle and Alexis, members of feuding families the Carringtons and the Colbys, while John Forsythe took on the role of the wealthy patriarch at the head of them both, Blake Carrington.

In the first season Krystle prepares to marry Blake but Matthew Blaisdel, a former lover, returns to town and causes her second thoughts. Blake’s estranged son Steven returns home for the ceremony, as does rebellious daughter Fallon, who objects to the union.

Monday 12th February will also see the network premiere of long-running gameshow Wheel of Fortune with Season 32 taking on the 5pm and 5:30pm weekdays slot in double bills.

Created by Merv Griffin in 1975 as an NBC daytime show, Wheel of Fortune is based on the popular game “Hangman.” Pat Sajak and Vanna White have hosted the show since its debut in syndication in 1983. Jim Thornton became the show’s announcer in 2011.

Three contestants compete by spinning The Wheel and calling out consonants for money or prizes. Once a contestant has earned money by spinning The Wheel and calling out a correct consonant, they are able to buy vowels for $250 each. The contestant who has won the most cash and prizes at the end of the main game is the big winner and plays in the “Bonus Round” for additional prizes.
